About Rebecca
Rebecca enjoyed art from an early age. She enjoyed doing sketches and portraits with pencil and pen and other art mediums. She married Brad, her husband of 34 years and started a family that now includes four sons, 2 daughters in-law and four grandchildren,.. to date! Rebecca began painting needlepoint as a contract artist in 1988 and started her own design line,(Rebecca Wood Designs) in 1998.
Rebecca hopes she is known for her vibrant colors and whimsical, humorous, illustrative designs, painted to the highest standards. All Rebecca canvas is now hand painted locally in Utah and Idaho. All of her artist are hand-picked from tryouts and trained personally by Rebecca. They are almost exclusively stay at home moms just like Rebecca was when she started. Since Rebecca’s first day painting needlepoint she has felt fortunate to find a career doing something she truly loves!
Rebecca lives for her mid-morning walk with Sage, her red heeler who also appears in several designs. She loves playing with her grandchildren, going out to dinner with Brad, shopping, and a good movie with a bowl of popcorn after a day in the studio.
